π₯οΈ Working with OpenOffice for Word Processing and Spreadsheet Application
OpenOffice is a free and open-source office suite that includes tools similar to Microsoft Office. Two of its most widely used applications are:
- OpenOffice Writer β for word processing
- OpenOffice Calc β for spreadsheet tasks
π OpenOffice Writer β Word Processing
OpenOffice Writer is used to create, edit, and format documents like letters, reports, resumes, and project files.
Key Features:
- Create new text documents
- Format text: font style, size, color, alignment
- Insert images, tables, symbols, and charts
- Use headers, footers, page numbers
- Spelling and grammar check
- Use templates and mail merge
