In presentation software like Microsoft PowerPoint, LibreOffice Impress, or OpenOffice Impress, animation adds visual effects to slides and objects, making your presentation more dynamic and engaging.

🎬 What are Slide Transitions?

Slide transitions are visual effects that appear when moving from one slide to another during a presentation.

✅ How to Apply a Slide Transition:

  1. Select the slide you want to add a transition to.
  2. Click the Transitions tab.
  3. Choose a transition effect from the available options (e.g., Fade, Push, Wipe).
  4. Use the Effect Options to customize the direction or style.
  5. Set the Duration of the transition.
  6. Click Apply to All if you want the same transition across all slides.

🌀 Animating Slide Objects

Object animations allow you to apply effects to text, images, shapes, or charts on a slide.

✅ How to Animate an Object:

  1. Select the object (text box, image, etc.) on your slide.
  2. Click the Animations tab.
  3. Choose an animation type:
    • Entrance – Object appears on the slide (e.g., Fade In, Zoom).
    • Emphasis – Object changes color or size for attention.
    • Exit – Object leaves the slide (e.g., Fly Out, Dissolve).
  4. Use the Animation Pane to control timing and order.

  • Start On Click – Starts when you click the mouse.
  • Start With Previous – Starts at the same time as the previous animation.
  • Start After Previous – Begins after the previous animation ends.
